Alexandra Milton, DNP, CRNP, PMHNP-BC grew up in a rural area of Mobile County on a family farm. She moved to Birmingham to attend college at UAB, fell in love with the city and decided to stick around. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in nursing, she began working at UAB’s Psychiatric Decision-Making Unit, where she worked with people suffering from a variety of acute mental health concerns in a setting of safety and stabilization. After obtaining her Doctor of Nursing Practice from UAB, she moved to Children’s Hospital’s emergency department, where she assessed, diagnosed, and provided recommendations to patients presenting critical mental health complaints.
Alexandra is married and has a very lazy dog. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, watching movies, and playing video games. She has quite a lot of houseplants, as well, including a few rare series that may be familiar to any other avid collector.
Alexandra treats all age groups. She provides psychiatric evaluation, consultation, and psychotropic medication management for the following symptoms and diagnoses:
